Happy Holidays!

We are having fun writing our Winter Happening stories.

Aliha wrote a fun story...

It snowed all day while I was in school. As I was walking home the wind began to blow harder and the snow flakes got bigger and bigger. Suddenly a boy threw a gigantic snow ball that hit me. I was so mad you could see the steam coming out of myears. I grabbed a chunk of snow and I threw it. When he realized it was coming towards him, he moved and I accidentally hit Mrs. Chandler with the snowball. I was so terrified of what was going to happen to me. I turned around and I thought to myself maybe nobody saw me throw the snowball. When she shouted "Who threw it?" everyone pointed to me. After that Mrs. Chandler took me to the principal's office. I was thinking to myself I will never, ever throw a snowball again!

Fourth Grade had a great time at the PTA program and we WILL share our candy!

Thank You Officer Coyle!

We appreciated you coming to our "Health Fair"

The Pumpkin Patch!

We had a great time picking out pumpkins at the pumpkin patch! There is a school wide decorating contest on Friday. We can't wait to check out the creative pumpkins.

Our class wrote about our shoes using descriptive words. We all agreed Marvin did a great job! He used some great phrases to describe his shoes.

"Let me hook you up with these hot, white Air Nikes. They are popular. The girls will like you and the boys will be jealous. The shoes are the color of a soft, white sheep."

If you want to read the rest of the story, it is displayed with the other great stories in the fourth grade hallway. Check it out!

THE RELATIVES CAME!

Our class read aloud "The Relatives Came" by Cynthia Rylant. We really enjoyed the story and all the descriptive language the author uses. We laughed at the illustrations and especially enjoyed the pictures of the relatives sleeping on the floor. You should read this book too!

We were surprised when some of our relatives showed up to read with us. We can't wait to read with family or friends again.

LETS BE DRUG FREE!

Officer Coyle has been visiting Tisinger Elementary in a program to teach our students the effects of making good and bad choices in life. This is a six week cooperative program of the Mesquite Police Department and MISD. The students are really learning from the workbook and interactive lessons with Officer Coyle!
